Hey everyone, It’s been over a year since I last touched this blog, and A LOT has happened! Life has had its definite ups and downs in the last 12 months, but things are starting to smooth out now. Andrew and I have been transferred to the Rota, Spain Naval Base! And I have to say, I am in love with Andalucia, Spain! We are living in Chipiona, Spain (about 10km from Rota). This place is phenomenal. So let me get you caught up, before we dive into all of the fresh food that is available literally feet from where we live. Andrew was stationed down in Norfolk, VA at the beginning of 2013, where I remained in Baltimore in attempt to sell our house and finish my degree. I somehow managed to do both amidst all of the pressure and stress of both! I couldn’t have done it without my family’s constant support and of course my dearest friends Daniel and Jason. They saved our butts several times! Couldn’t do it without friends. I graduated with my BS in Kinesiology from University of Maryland, College Park, Finally! Directly after that I shot off to Brazil with one of my best friends, Kristen. We spend a little over a week and made memories that can’t be taken away. What a phenomenal trip!

After that I moved down to Virginia Beach, VA to be with Andrew until our move to Spain. In VA beach I found a new CrossFit home http://www.crossfitunparalleled.com where we joined and I eventually was blessed enough to coach and get myself back into working condition. Couldn’t have done it without you guys. 😉

While the year was winding down, Andrew was in and out on workups with the ship. And eventually, when the craziness slowed down, I was on a flight to Spain with this beauty, Lizz! We had no idea what was in store but everything worked out alright, with a lot of stress, sweat, maybe some tears and a few kinks (at least for me to work out still along the way, we made it! I will post much more about Spain in my next post, with photos, food delights and travels. As my sister Emily keeps pushing me to get back to blogging, I will be updating you all on the first few months here so far. It’s been difficult getting set up and comfortable here but I feel that now I am in a place to get back to blogging, especially for those who do not have Facebook and aren’t already up to date! So for those who don’t know, Andrew is on USS Donald Cook and deployed for quite some time. I get emails from him occasionally and get to hear his voice every once in a while. So proud of their arrival here in Rota, Spain. Look for future posts of food, cleaning up my own because Spain eats bread with everything! It is delicious, and dangerous. ;)I have fresh food at my fingertips! Pretty amazing here. So stay tuned. 😉
