dscf0877I couldn’t sleep this morning so I headed out to Maria’s little vegetable stand to get some ingredients for the rest of the week. After a small cappuccino I headed home to make a smoothie and get to work. I never feel as if I am getting enough vegetables in on a daily basis and of course a smoothie is an easy go-to. And you still get the benefits of the fiber that you wouldn’t get simply juicing them. I don’t have a huge sweet tooth, so add a sweeter fruit if you prefer. Also, to balance out this meal a bit, I would add some protein and fat!
Suggestions for a side: 2 Eggs and 18 Almonds

Ingredients
1/2 Cup of Water
2Tbs of Lemon Juice
1 Small Green Banana
1/2 and Orange
1/4 Cup of Ice
Pinch of Himalayan Sea Salt

Directions

Throw everything in your blender/food processor! Once it is at a consistency you like drink away! I started with 1 Tbs of Lemon Juice and tasted as I went. You could also try Lime Juice. I am a citrus fan. I really love that bite, but as I said before, add some sweet berries if you have more of a sweet tooth.
